Digger Hire FAQs
What is the average cost of digger hire?
The average cost of mini digger hire can range from £125 – £300 per day, however, the cost depends on a number of factors including the size of the excavator you wish to hire and if you require an operator as well as the machinery.
How long can I hire for?
We currently provide plant equipment to over 1000 clients ranging from small businesses to large construction/groundwork companies, on a short-term basis (a day or two) or for longer periods of hire (months).
Do I need to do anything?
In short, no there’s nothing that you need to do as once we’ve arranged a price and delivery date, we will deliver your digger to you. We do however recommend hiring an operator to assist you on your project if you’re never operated a digger before. Our digger hire operators are covered by public liability insurance and will ensure your job is completed quickly and professionally.
Do you need a licence for digger hire?
If you require a digger for projects on private land or worksites, you won’t require a license to operate the machine. However, if you are planning to drive a digger of any size on public roads, a valid driving licence will be needed.
